Jan 9 Watercolour Greeting Card
Today's card project at Cherish The Thought was something I've never done before and one I really wanted to do. We used watercolour markers on a Local King Rubber Stamp, sprayed water on watercolour paper and stamped. Top 2 layers are cut with Nestabilities and background layer embossed with Floral Screen Cuttlebug embossing folder. The watercolour layer and the embossed layer are edged with blue ink.

This is gorgeous!
Lovely, Joanne. I must try this now!
I really like the look! I'm wanting Nestabilities more and more.
WOW this is really pretty, and looks way out of your normal style. Jumping out of the comfort zone is GOOD!! Love that you're using all the new gadgets. BIG GRIN. Very addictive.
Thanks to all of you, your comments are much appreciated. Beth, I love the Nestabilities, but I still have only the scalloped ovals set. Yogi, jumping out of the comfort zone and trying new gadgets is easier when I have a store so close that puts them out there for us to try.
Joanne this is lovely! Beautiful card, glad you are stretching your wings and trying new things and how lucky that you have a place to go and do this at too. Judy
Loverly!!!
Pretty card, Joanne!!
very nice card.
I've done this by spritzing the stamp rather than the paper. I'll have to try both and do a test.
Joanne, this is a wonderful card. I love this technique, but have only done it with water soluble oil pastels. I need to get some proper wc crayons and try that, too. I think it is wonderful for nature themed stamps.
