52 Quilts Journal Week 2
Since I was on a role I started the week 2 quilt on Sun. For this one I chose a dark blue and gold print from my sample stash and recycled a crochet sample motif. This is the first try at crochet since I broke my wrist and the sample turned out a little large for an ATC, so here it is on my mini quilt. I stitched it on with assorted brown and cream beads and then joined it to the back of quilt 1 to make a page for my journal. Later I will join this to 2 more quilts to make a signature and eventually decide how I will bind the journal.

Both look wonderful and what a great idea. Looking forward to seeing all your additions and how you bind it., It's going tomake one BIG FAT book.
Joanne, this is fabulous!!!
what a challenge Joanne ! Fabulous idea ! What about those stray buttons that we all have around or the stray sock or the one earring , OR did you see the paper that they made out of slices of veggies and dried them on fabric, really recycled that one was. I will send you that link! Love the first two pages and will watch to see what you come up with each week. Have fun! Judy
I love this little piece, it's beautiful! The crochet combined with beads is wonderful. Good luck with your challenge, I know you can do it!
Dear Joanne,
So you are going to make a journal out of these quilts! Oh my!!! I can hardly wait to see the finished journal and I am wondering how you will bind it - but you are just FULL of ideas so that won't be a problem for you at all. I love this piece. Beautifully done with the addition of the beads!
