Bead Knitting

The mystery knit piece
This is what I've become obsessed with in the last few weeks, bead knitting. It all started with a Little Mystery Knit by Terry Morris on Holiday Mystery group. The first clue had us knit this shape without knowing what it would become. Then clue 2 explained the assembly and the mystery was revealed. I've knit a few of these wraps now and stitched them over 1.75 or 2 inch Styrofoam balls.

The finished ornament

This is the finished result of my latest one, and I added
beads to this and some of the others I have made. All of
these are made with super fine or sock yarn on 2.25mm needles. The pattern is available as a free download from Terry Morris at this link on Ravery

The rest of the ornaments I have made from this pattern

Then I started a workshop to do knit beads and
bead knitted beads. These are again a wrap
over a plain wooden bead. The two on the right of the ribbon are the first I made, then I did the other 2 to make sure I knew what I was doing.

I added word beads to all the ones I made as ornaments.

Quilties Journal Cover

This is my work in progress of the quilties as seen in the Teesha Moore Journal videos. I started this quite awhile ago with the plan to bind journal pages into the cover when done. I dug this out as result of a discussion over on the Byhand Artists Yahoo group. These are fun to make, I'll enjoy getting back into it.

March 2014 ATCs

So here is another group of ATCs. The background on the front is recycled chocolate bar packaging embossed with an embossing folder. The sentiment is a Quietfire Quotemarks stamp on a Spellbinders die cut label and inked with Distress Ink.  The back is the rest of the sentiment.

This group of ATCs are based on the same design as the Byhandartists winter Rolodex swap. The trees are rubber stamped and printed on transparency then layered over a rose image.

February 2014 ATCs

I'm continuing to add art from earlier this year. Since I have been able to keep up the ATC swap I have made at least some ATCs each month. These are of course from February. This group is rubber stamped and die cut.

Needle Felt Rabbit

Well it sure has been a long time since I've been here to post. The trouble is while I was away someone moved all the furniture, now I need to figure out how to do this posting.

Well here goes...this project was from January, I have been doing art, just not posting. This is my first dimensional needle felting and I think she turned out quite good, even though I think the ears are a little funny.

This little cutie is 5 inches tall and is totally needle felted without a base, just all wool felting.
